Sanitization
Buzz word currently in everyone’s mind is “Sanitization”. High-quality sanitizers are very effective in treating surface contamination, be it soft skin or hard surfaces including food preparation areas. These sanitizers provide quick and efficient sanitization using powerful and harsh chemicals.
Limitations
The use of harsh, strong chemicals including alcohol leave behind toxic traces that are extremely hazardous to human health in the long term.
They also have a very limited effect on BioFilm. Biofilms are densely packed communities of microbial cells that grow on living or inert surfaces and surround themselves with secreted polymers as opposed to planktonic (free-floating) bacteria. This provides a very fertile ground for all types of pathogens to grow and flourish.

Our Solution Through Kolan (Enzyme Based Products)
Kolan’s plant based multi-enzyme products provide complete and effective sanitization without the use of any harsh or caustic chemicals and are completely safe for Humans, Babies, and pets. Enzymes are the only effective remedy against biofilms and the targeted use of Kolan’s Multi Enzyme formula ensures the breaking down of all BioFilm. Testing of areas with a bacterial illumine meter, where Enzymes were used, have shown the reduction of bacteria level of up to 99.9%, especially where the bacterial contamination was high. Challenges and Solution Challenges arose in knowing the composition of any given bacteria or biofilms so that the correct enzymes could be selected. This is an area where Kolan’s proprietary multi-plant enzyme formulations have cracked the code by using the correct combination of up to 4 family of Enzymes in one solution. Observation It should be noted that the period between cleaning varies greatly and it is the in-between periods where heavy foot traffic can rapidly re-soil and re-contaminate surfaces. Traditional chemical cleaners provide instant superficial cleaning but there is no sustained protection from ongoing use and repeated soiling. Enzymes, however, have been found to continue working for approximately 12-24 hours post application, especially in high footfall and repeated use areas. Kolan products have predominant value in high traffic public areas where contaminants are walked through and transported by foot to outer lying areas.
